Giant Tortoises at Laviscount Island
Laviscount island is known for their tortoises but there is much more to see.
This island has giant Aldabra tortoises that you can learn about and interact with! This is one of the oldest living animals on the planet and they can grow to over 600 lbs and live up to 200 years. There are over 50 of these prehistoric animals that originated from the Indian Ocean islands on the island. They are curious and friendly and this tour is fantastic for families.
You can also find Lesser Antilles Iguanas that have been extinct for many years and the Laviscount Island team has a project where they are slowly reintroducing them to the island. We can’t forget the colourful talking parrots! You can also explore the trails and private beach break.
Laviscount island is a wonderful private tropical getaway that offers island stand-alone tours with stingrays. There are tours from 1 hour, half day, to a full day. There is a floating dock, eating deck, boat dock, gazebo, ice cream shop and bathrooms with disabled accessibility. You and your family will love this experience!
